Do you know in Google Analytics, conversions have been renamed as Key Events now. This is to distinguish Google Ads Conversion from Google Analytics.
Today, as I typed analytics.google.com, suddenly a popup captured my attention, and that is from now onwards, Conversions will be named Key Events in Google Analytics.
As I started to read that popup in detail, I come across these important points
- Google Analytics Conversions will be Key Events from now onwards
- This is done to distinguish between Google Ads and Google Analytics conversions
- You don’t need to panic, it will work like the Conversions before in Google Analytics
- If you have a Google Ads account which is linked to Google Analytics, Google Ads conversions created from Google Analytics Key Events will be displayed under the Advertising section in Google Analytics
